Trick and Treat! Easy Gifts You Can Make For Christmas & Halloween

Apologies for being behind in blogging!  I have been flat out the last few months and it has been tricky to find the time to craft and blog.  Here's one of the recent projects we did at my Easy Cards and Craft Class a couple of weeks back.  We made some little gifts that will be great to give to work mates, kids, friends, etc.  Really really easy and quick to do and they look great!  See below on how to make these treats (P.S. there's my trick in showing you how to make them!!).

The crafters at my class could choose to do Christmas, Halloween or baby shower gifts.  The Cookie Cutter punch and the coordinating stamp sets are a lot of fun to play with.

The Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and the Cookie Cutter Punch are available separately or as a bundle. If you purchase the bundle you save 10%.
The Cookie Cutter Halloween Stamp Set is super cute.  All of these stamp sets and the punch are available in my online store.

So how do you make the treats up?  Take a piece of cardstock 4.9cm x 21cm. Fold it in half with a bone folder.  Punch each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (also available in my store).
You can choose to decorate the cardstock further by stamping or with the Scarecrow treat above, I have embossed the piece with my Big Shot and Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Stamp your cookie image out and colour with Stampin Write Markers.  Take a couple of glue dots and place on a Freddo Frog (snack size) and stick the Freddo to the inside of one half of the folded cardstock piece.  Now fold the other half of the cardstock around and tie some ribbon at the top  (for the class I used the beautiful and sparkly silver ribbon from the Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack in the Holiday Catalogue).  It's as easy as that!

After my classes my girls always like to craft with me and make the projects that were in the class.  My eldest, Caitlin who is 11, really got into this project and made some Halloween treats for her school friends.

Aren't these fabulous!  She did them all by herself.  My favourite is the skeleton - I love that she highlighted the skeleton with the pink and then coloured the bow that she punched out with black and pink and popped this on the skeleton's head. Awesome!!

Well I hope that you have enjoyed seeing this project.  Love to hear what you think!

Happy crafting and hugs!
