For Peeps' Sake Check Out This Cute Carriage!

SUO Challenge #118 is to make a project with Easter as the theme.  So here is the idea I have been working on - Easter table decorations!  We always enjoy having a family lunch on Easter Sunday so I thought I would make gorgeous place markers for each person.

I've started with my eldest daughter Caitlin who loves pink - so this has been incorporated into her carriage.  I'm planning on using each person's favourite colour in their carriage.  Lottie loves purple, Tom will get red, and Cameron blue.  Hopefully I can get some more pictures on my blog when I get all of the carriages together.

Of course each carriage has to have some passengers - so there are three chocolates travelling inside. I used the 3/4" circle punch (119873) to give each a "seat".

I've punched some "carriage links" out of the scalloped tag topper punch (133324) and added a bit of silver 1/8" ribbon (132137).  If I get a chance I might make an engine to pull the carriages and link them all up!

Other elements I have used to create this carriage include:
For Peeps' Sake stamp set (wood 137179, clear 138557)
Big Shot Embossing & Die Cutting Machine (113439)
Apothecary Accents framelits (127003), Bitty Banners framelits (129267)
Fancy Fan embossing folder (127751)
Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334)
1" circle punch (119868)
1 3/8" circle punch (119860)
Many Marvellous Markers (131264)
Card stock colours of choice.
Sticky Strip (104294) - a really strong adhesive is required to hold the carriage together and sticky strip is great for holding heavy accessories or structural items.
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430),  Sponge Daubers (133773), Stamping Sponges (101610), Dazzling Details (124117).

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this project.  It has been fun making something special for each family member.  Holidays are so commercialised now so it has been good to focus on the people I love - with something made with lots of love.

Happy crafting!
